In May 2025, Changzhou Boerjing Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. completed a major upgrade of its wire electrical discharge machining equipment by adding four FANUC wire EDM machines and one Seibu wire EDM machine. The investment further strengthened the company’s in-house precision mold manufacturing capabilities.
Wire EDM is an important process in precision mold manufacturing. It is used to machine mold inserts, cores, cavities and other components with detailed profiles and demanding dimensional requirements. Equipment accuracy, operating stability and repeatability can directly affect component fit, mold assembly and subsequent trial-molding performance.
As customer products become increasingly complex, some plastic bearing cages and medical precision injection-molded components require molds with tighter dimensional control, fine features, detailed pocket geometry and precise assembly interfaces. The addition of five wire EDM machines increases Boerjing’s capacity for manufacturing precision mold components while supporting more efficient production scheduling when multiple projects are being developed simultaneously.
The new FANUC and Seibu wire EDM machines are integrated into Boerjing’s in-house tooling workflow. They operate alongside mirror EDM machines, medium-speed wire-cut machines, CNC machining centers and other mold-processing equipment to support mold design, component machining, assembly, trial molding, modification and ongoing maintenance.
By continuing to upgrade its mold-processing equipment, Boerjing can maintain closer internal control over machining schedules and mold quality, reduce communication and transfer between different manufacturing stages, and provide a more stable tooling foundation for subsequent precision injection molding.
Boerjing will continue to improve its equipment and manufacturing processes according to the practical requirements of plastic bearing components and medical precision injection-molding projects, supporting customers from design review and mold development through sample validation and volume production.
