Bearing structure

Thrust Bearing Cages

Plastic cages that separate and guide rolling elements in bearing arrangements carrying axial loads.

Application and design

AXK cages are used with thrust needle rollers. K811 and K812 cages are used with thrust cylindrical rollers. The cage layout must match the rolling elements, supporting washers and installation height.

Supply scope: Plastic cages only. Rolling elements, shaft or housing washers and complete thrust bearings are not included.

AXK Series

Thrust needle roller design

Needle rollers are arranged between axial raceways for structures with limited axial installation space. The arrangement can work with corresponding thrust washers.

K811 Series

Thrust cylindrical roller design

This cage is designed for cylindrical rollers rather than the needle rollers used by AXK. The confirmed cage material is PA66 with 25% glass fibre reinforcement (PA66-GF25).

K812 Series

Larger cylindrical roller section

Compared with K811 of the same size designation, K812 generally has a larger outside diameter and roller section. The confirmed cage material is also PA66-GF25.

Materials & customisation

PA66-GF25 is documented for the K811 and K812 series. Material requirements for other thrust cage designs are reviewed separately, including temperature, dimensional stability and lubricant compatibility.

Choose from the nylon materials below for your cage design and operating conditions. The specific resin grade is agreed for the project.
