Special design & material

Split Bearing Cages

Plastic cage designs assembled from two halves or multiple segments to suit the bearing arrangement.

Application and design

A split design can be considered when the assembly route makes a one-piece cage difficult to install. The number of segments and their joining method are defined by the bearing and installation requirements.

Supply scope: Custom plastic cage segments. Rolling elements, bearing rings and complete split bearings are not included.

Materials & customisation

The material must be reviewed together with joint geometry, assembly deformation and operating conditions. Polymer grade and validation requirements are agreed for the project.

Choose from the nylon materials below for your cage design and operating conditions. The specific resin grade is agreed for the project.
